I am a journalist, producer and editor specialising in food, supply chains, farming, sustainability, environment and travel.
I make radio programmes and podcasts for BBC Radio 4, BBC World Service and independent podcast production companies. I am also a confident producer-presenter, including for Radio 4’s Farming Today.
Previously, I worked as a producer on BBC Radio 4’s The Food Programme, investigating every aspect of the food we eat.
I founded and edited Wicked Leeks, the magazine for sustainable food and ethical business, published by organic veg box company Riverford. I’m proud that during this time it became a multimedia magazine spanning online, print, film and podcast, serving a highly engaged reader community and joining the dots between the joy of food and the impacts of our choices. This culminated in a shortlisting at the 2022 British Society of Magazine Editors annual awards in the Food Category.
As a freelance journalist, I have travelled through South and Central America to cover the boom in avocados in Colombia, banana production in Ecuador and how small-scale coffee producers in Costa Rica are reducing their environmental impact. During this time, I produced and co-presented a new podcast with my close friend and fellow journalist Jez Fredenburgh. Who Gives a Fork goes behind the scenes and explore some of the stories in popular food supply chains.
I previously worked as deputy editor of Fresh Produce Journal, the leading B2B magazine for the fruit and veg industry, where I wrote, edited and planned news, features and special reports, and commissioned opinion pieces.
I am a postgraduate of PMA Media at the Press Association, where training included news, feature, subbing, design, SEO, digital marketing, video, podcast and media law.
Freelance work published in the Guardian, Huffington Post, The Ecologist, Veggie Magazine, Derbyshire Life, Pebble Magazine, Better Wholesaling and Fruitnet.com.
